Launching an exciting new development to the Algarve…Arcaya

           

          It’s been a long time coming, over two years to be more precise, that Bondstone has been developing their new and very first venture in the Algarve - Arcaya. Arcaya is a project that is redefining prime sustainable living with an unparalleled commitment to preserving the natural environment. This considered and thought-out approach extended to the project's official launch on the 2^nd of May at SIL in Lisbon. At QP Savills we are delighted to have been chosen as real estate partners for one of the most exciting and exclusive new developments to come to the Algarve. On Tuesday, 28^th May we enjoyed the company of nearly 80 clients, partners, and suppliers, all valuable connections we’ve made over the years, at a very Special Launch Event for Arcaya at the Conrad Hotel in Quinta do Lago. We were immensely pleased with the turnout, the interest and the feedback we received both at and since, the event. And also with the support shown by those who wished they could attend but could not.

Representing QP Savills and our MC for the event was Alison Hojbjerg, Co-Owner & Director, joined by four key speakers. Our very own, Amy Kerins, Marketing Director, as well as Tom Bryant from Savills UK, Daniel Henderson from Blevins Franks Wealth Management and João Gorjão from Bondstone.

 

 

Alison started things off with a warm welcome and a quick market update, speaking about the continued growth we have experienced over the last number of years – from both a team and sales point of view. She thanked all our clients and partners for their unwavering support over the years.

Next up was Tom Bryant who is the Global Head of Residential Developments for Savills. Tom gave an overview of the Algarve and Portugal real estate market in a global context. The key out-take is that while prices have climbed exponentially in recent years, compared to other, similar resorts, the Algarve represents great value for investors.

 

 

Dan Henderson then went on to give an overview of tax planning opportunities of life in Portugal giving information on Portugal’s flexible tax framework, the relevance of residency and an update on the NHR.

 

 

Amy Kerins, our Marketing Director, introduced the Arcaya project, followed by João Gorjão, an Executive Director at Bondstone who has spearheaded the Arcaya project. João told us about the 10 sustainability strategies that have been employed by Bondstone. Sustainability runs through the DNA of Arcaya and seeing the level of consideration, planning and investment that has ensured Arcaya truly is sustainable was both impressive and educational. João has a background in engineering and you could see his passion for the project with every word!

 

 

 

The Q&A session at the end of the presentation demonstrated how impressed, engaged and curious the audience was about the Arcaya project. We really enjoyed the opportunity to meet with our clients and spend time answering their questions and having great discussions on the project.
