Algarve Chamber Music Festival Launches in Loulé

This January, Loulé will welcome a new cultural highlight with the inaugural Algarve Chamber Music Festival, opening with its first concert on 9 January 2026 at 9 pm at the Cineteatro Louletano. Tickets for the opening concert are now available via the Cineteatro Louletano website. QP Savills is proud to be a sponsor of this new cultural initiative, supporting the continued growth of the arts in the Algarve.

The opening evening marks the beginning of what is planned as an annual festival, bringing internationally recognised musicians to the region and strengthening Loulé’s position as a destination for high quality chamber music. At QP Savills, supporting projects that add depth and value to local life is an important part of our commitment to the Algarve.

The festival’s Artistic Director is acclaimed international pianist Wu Qian, who has served as Artistic Director of the Surrey Hills International Festival in the UK for the past 15 years. With a strong focus on musical excellence and education, she now brings this experience to the Algarve, shaping a festival grounded in artistic quality and community involvement. The Algarve Chamber Music Festival has been established as a non profit initiative. Beneficiaries include the Loulé Conservatory of Music and other regional teaching institutions. Participating musicians will also offer masterclasses and training opportunities, helping to extend the impact of the festival beyond the performances themselves.

The festival is honoured to receive institutional support from the President of the Câmara Municipal de Loulé, the wider municipality, the Cineteatro Louletano, and the Loulé Music Conservatory, reflecting a shared commitment to cultural development in the region. Designed as an inclusive and collaborative project, the Algarve Chamber Music Festival aims to bring together those born in the Algarve, those who have chosen to make it their home, and visitors who value its cultural life. The goal is simple and meaningful: to make exceptional music accessible, while strengthening connections between artists, students, and the wider community.

The first concert of the festival’s inaugural series takes place on 9 January 2026, marking the beginning of a long term cultural project set to enrich Loulé and the Algarve for years to come. QP Savills is delighted to support this new chapter in the region’s cultural life.
