These are the beaches we genuinely love - places we visit ourselves, and where we spend time with family and friends.

 

Central Algarve

This part of the Algarve is known for its luxury homes, lively atmosphere, and easy access to top restaurants, golf courses, and beach clubs. It's also home to a few of our personal favourites.

Quinta do Lago Beach is all about space, privacy, and natural surroundings. It sits beside the Ria Formosa nature reserve and is perfect if you're looking for a quieter beach experience near some of the Algarve’s finest homes and golf courses.

Vale do Lobo Beach has calm waters, stylish beach clubs, and a relaxed feel that draws both residents and visitors. It's a favourite among many on our team, especially for its peaceful afternoons and easy access from nearby homes.

Praia da Falésia is one of the Algarve’s most striking beaches, with its dramatic red cliffs and wide sandy stretch. It’s ideal for long walks or quiet mornings by the water. Amy, our Marketing Director, loves starting the day with the cliff walk here, followed by a swim and lunch at Rocha Baixinha, a great little spot nearby.

 

 

Eastern Algarve

The eastern Algarve offers a slower rhythm. It’s popular with those looking for a peaceful lifestyle with traditional charm.

Tavira is a highlight for many of us, with its cobbled streets, local markets, and beautiful nearby beaches. Praia do Barril and Ilha de Tavira are both long, clean, and calm, perfect for swimming or quiet days by the sea. Nélia, another one of our Special Agents, loves Praia do Cabeço, near Vila Real de Santo António. “It’s a stunning stretch of coastline with golden sand and clear, tranquil water. It feels untouched, perfect if you want to avoid the crowds.”

 

Western Algarve

Out west, the scenery changes. You’ll find rugged cliffs, open beaches, and fewer crowds.

Praia da Arrifana and Praia do Amado are popular with surfers but are also great for anyone who enjoys natural landscapes and a quieter pace of life. Ross, one of our Special Agents, recommends Praia de Albandeira. “It’s a great kayaking alternative to the famous Benagil Cave, without the crowds. You can rent kayaks right at the steps to the beach. There’s a chilled café with a great view, and the sunsets are stunning. Perfect for sea swimming too.”

 

 

For us, living near the beach is more than just enjoying the view. It means early morning swims, watching the sun go down from your garden, and never having to search for parking on a summer day. These beaches offer clean, safe water, excellent conditions for swimming, and plenty of space to relax.
